The “Music that Defined” Collection

The “Music that Defined” Collection takes old cassette tapes and gives them new live (preventing them from ending up in the landfill). This is the first collection started with this concept to art-cycle/up-cycle. In “Music that Defined” the cassettes that are used in each project are carefully chosen to fit the theme intentionally. The single covers and/or cassette jackets are also used in each piece, creating a unique backside of the canvas.

The “Mixtape” Collection

The “Mix Tape” is the second collection that takes old cassette tapes and gives them new life (again, preventing them from ending up in the landfill). These cassettes are a mix of donated tapes that were self-recorded by the donors. Teenagers now-a-days will never know the feeling of waiting all day, listening by the radio, waiting for the perfect moment to hit record of their latest favorite song. We all remember our favorite, one song, cassette singles: front and back, same song, different remixes. The “Cassette Singles” collection continues with my mission to upcycle old cassettes and give them new life in my art. This collection spotlights one special song along with its lyrics.
